Applications are now open for the KILLAM Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at the University of British Columbia. The primary purpose is to support higher education and research studies which is to be taken at five universities in Canada and the Canada Council for the Arts.
As the beneficiary of UBC Killam Doctoral Scholarships, applicants will receive an annual stipend of $30,000. Further, the scholarships are available for a maximum of two years. Also, the University of British Columbia will provide a travel and research allowance of $2,000 for the duration of the scholarship.

Eligibility for Killam Doctoral Scholarships
To be eligible to apply for Killam Scholarship funding to study in Canada;
- Applicants must not have pursued PhD-level studies at any University of British Columbia campus.
- May be citizens of any country; though there are no restrictions regarding the nationality of applicants, successful candidates must be able to meet all Canadian immigration requirements.
- Applicants must have completed no more than 24 months of doctoral study as of the start date of the scholarship.
- Must not currently hold a tenure-track or continuing faculty position at a university or college. Applicants who currently hold temporary, term, or non-tenure track faculty appointments are eligible to apply.
- Have a GPA of at least 3.5 out of 4.33 (or equivalent) for the latest degree earned
- Demonstrate outstanding academic excellence & research potential
- Comply with all other requirements imposed by the university

How To Apply:
To be considered for the Killam Doctoral Scholarships, you must apply for the Affiliated Fellowships-Doctoral award competition.
You will need to:
- Obtain a copy of your original academic records
- Send them to the home university, and ask your home university to:
- put the attested, stamped photocopies in sealed envelopes endorsed by the Registrar
- verify that the photocopies are consistent with their records
- attest that the copies are true and stamp them with an official university stamp
- Submit the sealed, endorsed envelopes to the Faculty of Graduate & Postdoctoral Studies, attention Killam Postdocs, 6371 Crescent Road, Vancouver BC V6T 1Z2.
