KMU DETAILS
Applicants who possess a non-R.O.C. nationality shall meet the Regulations Regarding International Students Undertaking Studies in Taiwan (Ministry of Education).
Every type of stipend includes different allowances as:
- Type A: NTD 200,000~260,000 per year (monthly stipend, accommodation coverage, and tuition fee are included)
- Type B: NTD 80,000~140,000 per year (accommodation coverage and tuition fee are included)
- Type C: NTD 70,000~80,000 per year (tuition fee)
Undergraduate students can only apply for Type C, Master’s students can apply for Type B and Type C, and Ph.D. students can apply for all types of scholarships. Failure to follow the instructions above may affect the result of the application.
Eligibility Criteria for Kaohsiung Medical University Scholarships
To be eligible for Kaohsiung Medical University (KMU) Scholarships for International Students, applicants are expected to meet the following conditions:
- Applicants must be international students
- For the Master’s program, applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher from a recognized university.
- Candidates of all nationalities, except Chinese, can apply for the programs.
- For the Ph.D. program, applicants must have a Master’s degree or higher from a recognized university.
- Applicants must not have studied in Taiwan as overseas Chinese students before.

Requirements for Kaohsiung Medical University Scholarships
- Photocopy of a valid passport or certificate of nationality
- A passport-sized photograph
- Completed online application form and KMU scholarship form
- Highest-level diploma
- Proof of language proficiency
- Financial statement
- Study plan in English or Chinese
- Official transcripts
- The highest-level diploma was verified by the R.O.C. representative office.

How to Apply for the Kaohsiung Medical University Scholarship
To apply for the 2025 Kaohsiung Medical University Scholarship, interested and qualified applicants should;
- Read carefully the Declaration and agree on the terms of application. Please be informed that if any required fields on the application form are blank, it will not be saved successfully.
- Visit the Application Website, and choose [Undergraduate Program] or [Master/Ph.D.], the degree program you wish to apply. Register for a personal account. Applicants may apply for up to 3 programs. Applications without online registration will not be accepted.
- Upload all required files and submit the application fee (applicants of the School of Post-Baccalaureate Medicine only). After completing the online application, application documents must be uploaded before the application deadline date.
- Set up at least 2 respective referrers for each program applied.
- After filling out the application forms, print it out and sign then upload the scanned copy of the form.
- Click the button “Submit Application” to complete the application.
