About Harvard Radcliffe Institute Fellowships

The Radcliffe Fellowship Program offers 50 fellowships each academic year. The Fellowship seeks diversity along many dimensions, including discipline, career stage, race and ethnicity, country of origin, gender and sexual orientation, and ideological perspective.

Although the individuals may come from different backgrounds, they are united by their demonstrated excellence, collegiality, and creativity. You have the opportunity to apply as an individual or in a group of two to three people working on the same project.

Benefits of the Harvard Radcliffe Institute Fellowship

Fellows will receive the following benefits by applying to the Redcliffe Institute Fellowship:

  1. J-1 Visa Support
  2. Relocation, housing and childcare funds.
  3. Healthcare support will also be available if required
  4. A stipend of $78,000 for fellows
  5. Additional $5,000 allowance for research expenses
  6. Fellows might be eligible to receive more funds for travel expenses, childcare, and accommodation to help them make a smooth transition.
  7. The program may cover their hourly wages if fellows would like to hire Harvard bachelor’s students as Research Partners,
  8. The Institute also provides group lunches and other opportunities to convene members of their cohort, with optional attendance.
  9. The fully-funded international fellowship is an opportunity to visit the US for free.

Eligibility Criteria for Harvard Radcliffe Institute Fellowships

Below are the Eligibility Criteria for the Harvard Fellowship 2024:

  1. Applicants must be high achievers, or they must accomplish a high score.
  2. Applicants applying as practitioners must have senior leadership positions in a non-profit organization, government, or private sector.
  3. Applicants must possess independent writing and research skills.
  4. Applicants must have at least ten years of experience in a relevant field experience.

  6. Previous Harvard fellows are not eligible to apply for this fellowship.

Harvard Radcliffe Eligibility Criteria for Various Sectors offered in the Institute

  • For applicants of Science, Engineering, and Mathematics, they must have:
  1. Completed doctorate in a relevant area of the proposed project.
  2. Published at least five articles in scholarly journals
  3. Their degree must be two years before application.
  4. For applicants of Humanities and Social Science:
  5. Their degree must be two years before application.
  6. They must have a doctorate in the area of the proposed project.
  7. Have published a monogram or two articles in refereed journals.
  • For participants in Visual Arts:
  1. They must have at least five years of working experience as a professional artist.
  2. They must have Participated in curated group shows.
  3. Must have substantial work achievements.
  4. Participated in a professional solo exhibition.
  5. For participants of Fiction and Non-Fiction:
  6. Minimum work published (3) no longer than a newspaper article.
  7. Published at least one book.
  8. Contract of publishing manuscript.
  • Music Composition:
  1. Applicants must be professional artists and have a recent performance record.
  2. Applicants with a PhD or DMA will be preferred, but it is not compulsory.
  • For Playwriting:
  1. Applicants must have an independent achievement in their work that can be either in the form of play production or relevant to that.
  2. Playwriting applicants must have independent work achievement and can be play production.
  • Poetry:
  1. Applicants must have published at least 20 poems in the past five years, or they may have published a poetry book.
  2. It must be in the manuscript completion process.
  • Journalism:
  1. Applicants must have at least five years of professional experience related to their field.
