The Faculty of Science at the University of Queensland (UQ) offers several international Scholarship opportunities for outstanding international students who desire to study in undergraduate or postgraduate coursework programs in Science at UQ.

UQ International High Achievers Scholarship
- Student type: International students
- Scholarship value: 20% reduction in tuition fees per semester
- Enrolment status: New UQ students
- Number Awarded: Variable
- Scholarship duration: For the duration of the program (up to 4 years)
- How to apply: No application is required. When you apply to study a program at UQ, you’re automatically considered for this scholarship if you meet the eligibility criteria.
UQ International Excellence Scholarship also has the same details as above.
UQ Lifelong Learner Scholarship
- Student type: International students
- Scholarship focus: Academic excellence
- Scholarship duration: For the duration of the program (up to 4 years)
- Enrolment status: International students who have previously completed a bachelor-level degree or higher at The University of Queensland.
- How to apply: No application is required. When you apply to study a program at UQ, you’re automatically considered for this scholarship if you meet the eligibility criteria.
The University of Queensland International Science Scholarship Details
This scholarship is available to Future students enrolling in the UQ Faculty of Science coursework degree programs. It is available to international students, excluding Australian citizens and permanent residents.
Level of study: Undergraduate or postgraduate (Master-level only) award programs of one (1) year or more in duration (full-time).

Eligibility Criteria for Science International Scholarships at the University of Queensland 2024
To be eligible for a Science International Scholarship at UQ, an applicant must:
- By the scholarship’s closing date, submit all documentation to meet conditions associated with an offer from UQ for an approved program.
- Be enrolling in an approved program administered by the Faculty of Science. The program must be one (1) year or more in duration (full-time).
- Be able to be classified as an international student in Australia. Australian permanent residents and Australian citizens are not eligible.
- They are enrolling in their first semester of study at UQ.
- Demonstrate strong academic performance as part of the UQ program application.
- Not defer their commencement or interrupt their studies – the scholarship cannot be deferred.
- Dual degree students are eligible to apply for the Science International Scholarship where part of the dual degree is an eligible Science program.
- By the scholarship closing date, submit all documentation to meet the conditions associated with an offer from UQ for an approved program
Ineligibility
- If you are already enrolled at UQ and seek a program change, you are not eligible for these scholarships.
- Students must not simultaneously hold another scholarship for study at UQ.
- UQ will not consider incomplete applications or applications that are inaccurate, false, or misleading.
- The scholarship cannot be deferred. Students who defer their studies to a future semester will no longer be eligible for the scholarship and will need to reapply for future scholarship rounds.

Terms and Conditions
- Students already enrolled at the UQ seeking program change are not eligible for this scholarship.
- Student defers study or fail to maintain full-time enrollment in the first semester of their study.
- Incomplete or inaccurate applications will not be considered.
- Candidates enrolling in non-award, study abroad, or any other exchange programs are not eligible for this scholarship.
- Transfers to a non-science program or withdraws from the current science program.
