QUT Excellence scholarships are the university’s premier offering for students with outstanding academic achievement. The QUT Excellence Scholarship (Academic) 2024 is offered for a bachelor’s degree in the field of any subjects offered at the university.
This scholarship is provided by the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) and the value of this scholarship is Partial Funding, Varies. This scholarship is open for Open to all nationalities. In line with their commitment to Indigenous engagement.
This includes provision for one QUT Excellence Scholarship (Elite Visual and Performing Arts) from each eligible course to be awarded to the highest ranked Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander applicants who meet the minimum additional entry requirements.

Requirements for QUT Excellence Scholarship Qualification
To be eligible for the QUT Excellence Scholarship for International Students, applicants are expected to meet the following conditions:
- Applicants must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen
- A holder of a permanent humanitarian visa
- Applicants must be an international student
- An international student who has completed high school in Australia or Australian curriculum (or International Baccalaureate) overseas.
- Must achieve a minimum unadjusted ATAR of 98 or equivalent.
- Must be graduating Year 12 in 2023 and achieve an Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR) or an International Baccalaureate (IB), or have graduated Year 12 in 2022 with the same qualifications.
You must also:
- Have placed one of the eligible Creative Industries courses as your first preference on your QTAC application.
- Be starting university for the first time in 2024
- If you’re interested in a Creative Industries course that isn’t eligible for this scholarship, you may be eligible for the QUT Excellence Scholarship (Creative Industries) or the QUT Excellence Scholarship (Academic) instead.
How to Apply
There is no specific application process needed to be considered for this scholarship. All applicants who apply for an eligible course will be considered.
You must complete a QTAC application and the individual audition or portfolio requirements as listed on each course page. The officials from QUT will be informed about their eligibility for the scholarship program via email.
Interview date, Process, and Venue for QUT Excellence Scholarship
Conditions
You must:
Maintain a grade point average (GPA) of 5.00 or higher in each semester.
You can:
Take a leave of absence for up to two years but only after you have completed one full-time semester of study. You won’t receive scholarship payments during this time.
Be enrolled either full-time or part-time
You cannot:
Hold any other scholarship, except an Equity Scholarship. If you have any questions about holding multiple scholarships concurrently, contact us at scholarships@qut.edu.au.
Defer your scholarship offer. If you defer your course, you will be considered for the scholarship the following year, provided you have not undertaken university study in the meantime.
