Transylvania has a wide range of scholarship opportunities, from $12,000 to full tuition for academics leadership, and more. However, it is delighted to offer its International Merit-based Scholarship to International students with outstanding academic records.
International students who are admitted to Transylvania will receive merit-based scholarships in the form of the scholarship amounts listed below. This scholarship applies to undergraduate students who wish to enroll in a degree program at the University.
International scholarships are awarded based on a holistic review of the student’s application and will be automatically considered upon application. The Potential award amounts vary depending on the student’s level of performance namely Global Superior ($20,000), Global Excellence ($18,000), and Global Prestige ($15,000).

Premier Scholarships
The students eligible for these Premier Scholarships will be selected based on student-provided application, essay, high school transcripts, resume or listing of extracurricular activities, letter(s) of recommendation, and test scores (if provided).
Eligibility Criteria
- Be a first-year international applicant of any major to a participating college or university. ( International applicants are individuals who hold citizenship in a country outside the U.S. and who don’t also possess U.S. citizenship or permanent residency).
- Students for whom English is not their first language, or who are not from English-speaking countries will be required to provide proof of English proficiency.
- Applicants for Interested applicants for the Transylvania University International Merit Scholarships must be international students.
- Demonstrate an interest and initiative in promoting intercultural learning and exchange.
- Meet the admission criteria and adhere to the deadlines at Transylvania.
- Applicant must take the PSAT/NMSQT in the specified year of the high school program and no later than the third year in grades 9 through 12.
- Applicant must be a National Merit Finalist who has designated Transylvania University as his or her first-choice institution when completing the scholarship application.

- How to Apply: To be considered for this award, candidates must fill out the Common Application to be enrolled in an undergraduate degree program at Transylvania University. If you are filling out the Common Application for the first time, please register here.
- Admission Requirements: For taking admission, applicants must meet all entry requirements of the university.
- Supporting Documents: You must submit your Official Secondary School Transcript, Official TOEFL, IELTS, PTE Academic, ACT, and/or SAT scores, and submit the essay on the given topic:
- If you apply using the Common Application, instructions are provided for uploading the essay file.
- If you complete the Printable Application, submit the printed essay with the application form.
- Language Requirement: The applicants must attain minimum required scores on the following English language proficiency tests:
- ACT (with an English minimum score in the range of 25 and a Reading minimum score in the range of 25)
- IELTS minimum score in the range of 6
- Cambridge/UK O, AS, or A levels (passing)
- SAT R (with CR minimum score in the range of 550)
- TOEFL minimum score in the range of 80
- International Baccalaureate Diploma in English (24 or higher)
- PTE Academic minimum score in the range of 52
