The Africa Scholarship Programme (ASP) has been initiated by Wageningen University and Research to support developing talents from Africa who are motivated to further their studies. With this program, Wageningen wants to support capacity building in Africa by attracting excellent students for a 2-years master’s program.

Eligibility Criteria for the Wageningen University Africa Scholarship Programme 2025
To meet the eligibility conditions for the Africa Scholarship Programme in the Netherlands, applicants must:
- Be a citizen of an African country
- Be an excellent student with a First class honors degree or a GPA of 80% or higher in a Bachelor’s degree
- Have applied and be offered admission for one of the master’s programs of Wageningen University & Research.
- Be able to demonstrate that they belong in the best 5% of their study cohort to be selected.

13 March 2025: Invitation of selected candidates to take part in the further selection process (approx. 40 candidates will be selected)
25 March 2025: Deadline of the assignment
8 April 2025: Decision about invitation online interviews communicated (approx. 20 candidates will be interviewed)
22 April – 1 May 2025: MS Teams interviews
8 May 2025: Results of the selection process communicated
